My Birth Philosophy
I fully believe that any birth service I provide should be a safe space for people to be themselves. I do my best to ensure that I remain as inclusive as I can be with all of my services. This includes utilizing gender-neutral terms while discussing the birth process as well as never assuming the support and resources that an individual may have. I will never discriminate against an individual because of their gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, or social-economic status.
However I am always looking to continue my education in supporting all different variations of communities that require birthing services, continuous education is necessary to best keep up with changes in the birth community.
Ultimately, each birthing person should have a say in every aspect of their birth for as long as medically possible. And as a doula, I make sure to advocate for those decisions to be heard by all medical and non-medical individuals of the birth team.
